Wendy J. Kowalewsky

Wendy Jean Kowalewsky, 55, of Lincoln, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025 at her home.

Born April 27, 1969, to Dick and Beatrice (Huffman) George in Alpena, she was a lifelong resident of the area. Wendy married Steven Kowalewsky on April 11, 1998. She was a longtime employee of Lincoln Haven, where she was well loved as the activities director and later a patient advocate. Wendy enjoyed rock hunting and polishing her treasures. She loved animals. She owned horses, and enjoyed horseback riding, and going horse camping. She especially loved her cats and dogs. 

Wendy is survived by her parents, Dick and Bea George, her brother, Clint (Vicky) George, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven, on January 16, 2016, her sister Crissy Klemkosky in 2024, and her brother Walter George in 2019. 

Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
