Warren L. Mervyn

Warren L. Mervyn, 83, of Glennie, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at his home.

Born January 23, 1940, to William and Josephine (Lepard) Mervyn Sr., in Lake Orion, MI, he was raised there.  Warren joined the U.S. Army, and served in Vietnam.  In 1980, he moved to Oscoda.  Later he moved to Glennie.  Warren loved his Glennie Community.  He served as Township Supervisor, and was a member of the Glennie Lions Club.  He loved kids, and was a mentor to several young community members.  

Warren is survived by his wife Donna and her children, his sister, Nancy Martinez, his brother Francis (Jackie) Mervyn, many nieces and nephews, as well as his beloved Glennie family.  He was preceded in death by five brothers, William Jr., Richard, Ray, Duane, and Robert Mervyn, and his brother-in-law, Marty Martinez.  

Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln.   A celebration of life will take place in Glennie during the summer of 2024 and a private burial at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly at a later date.  Memorial donations may be made to the Veteran’s Affairs office, or to the Alcona Humane Society.
