Walter A. Joslin, 79, of Harrisville, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022, at his home. Born August 18, 1942, to Guy and Ruth (Patrick) Joslin in Columbiaville, MI, he was raised there and in Killmaster. He married Valerie Reames on February 6, 1971 in Harrisville. A longtime resident of Oxford, MI, Walt worked as a maintenance supervisor and electrician for General Motors. He retired to Harrisville in 2005. He was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church in Mikado, and of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed leading Bible study at the church. He was Past Commander of the American Legion Oxford Post 108, and a member of the American Legion Mikado Post 254. He enjoyed genealogy and tinkering with his tractor. Walt is survived by five children, Deborah Taylor, Dixie Joslin, Rene (Steven) Aebig, Vince (Sarah) Joslin, and Phillip Joslin, 10 grandchildren, Jessica, Travis, Anthony, Courtney, Craig, James, Therese, Francis, Damian, and Pauline, 7 great grandchildren, Mataya, Maddox, Alexis, Nova, Avelyn, Weston, and Ellie, two sisters, Delores Chase and Elaine Joslin Ahmed, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his special neighbor, Mickey (Scott) Gale. Walt was preceded in death by his wife, Valerie on October 26, 2021, and his sister Barb Hosner. Visitation will be at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, from 4:00 until 8:00 PM with a Rosary service at 7:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be Thursday, May 5, 2022 at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Mikado at 11:00 AM. Rev. John William will officiate. Burial will be in St. Raphael Catholic Cemetery in Mikado.
