Vivian "Sis" MacNeill

Vivian I. “Sis” MacNeill, 100, of Harrisville, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Jamieson Nursing Home. Sis was born February 23, 1923, to Alva and Emlie (Flentge) Richmond in Sturgis, Michigan. On July 3, 1941, she married Roy MacNeill in Ossineke, MI, and they were residents of Colon, MI. In 1947, she received her cosmetology license, and worked as a beautician. After moving to Harrisville, she opened a beauty shop where she worked until she retired in 1996. Sis was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Harrisville, where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, playing cards and other games. Sis is survived by her son Larry (Therese) MacNeill of Dracut, MA, 12 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy on December 5, 1999, two daughters, Pamela MacNeill Blankenship, and Patricia MacNeill, her son, Alex MacNeill, and her brother, Eugene Richmond. Visitation will be Friday, April 21, 2023, at the First United Methodist Church in Harrisville from 11:00 AM until the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Meg Nesbit will officiate.
