Violette May Barnes

Violette M. Barnes, 57, of Barton City, passed away Friday, July 29, 2022 at her home. Born November 5, 1964 to William J. and Marjorie M. (Jones) Bevens in Livonia, MI, she was a resident of Barton City for most of her life. Violette worked as a certified nurse’s assistant for many years. She is survived by her son, Matthew Barnes of Alpena, her sister, Beverly Powell, two brothers, Jimmy and Alfred Bevens as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Marjorie Cordes, Margaret and Helen Bevens, and her brother, William Bevens. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
