Sterling R. Rogers

Sterling R. Rogers, 68, of Barton City, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at his home. 

Born February 20, 1955, to Donald and Grace (Rapson) Rogers in Detroit, MI, he was raised in Glennie.  He worked for Chrysler in Detroit, and retired to Barton City, where he loved to ride his motorcycle, and was always helping people.  He was a member of the Barton City Eagles Club Aerie #4141.  Sterling enjoyed playing pool and horseshoes, and spending time with his family.  

Sterling is survived by his daughter, Candace Rogers, six grandchildren, Kevin Liford, Katelyn Liford, Johnathon Hebert, Cayden Hebert, Sierra Winn, and Jered Winn, two great grandchildren, Waylon and Zoey Saling, two brothers, Bob (Sue) Remilong, and Kenny (Kathy) Rogers, two sisters, Diane Harvey, and Julie (Edward) LoSasso, his dear friend, Paula Smith, as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda, his son, Gregory Rogers, three stepsons, Harold Blaton, Jered Blaton, and Darwin Winn, his brother, Donald (Lee) Remilong, and his brother-in-law, Donald Harvey. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, November 3, 2023, at the Barton City Eagles Club.  Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
