Sharon K. Walker, 76, of Lincoln, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Lincoln Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. Born February 9, 1942 to Hurley and Mildred (Bachert) Bowlby in Clawson, MI, she was raised there. On July 28, 1962, she married John Walker in Madison Heights, and they were longtime residents of Troy, MI. Sharon worked in medical transcription as a supervisor and was a founding member of the Troy Firefighters Women’s Auxiliary. She moved to Lincoln in 2016, where she was a member of the Brownlee Lake Association and of the Lincoln DDA Beautification Committee. Sharon is survived by her husband John, two daughters, Robin (Patrick Smith) Walker of Clawson, and Lori (Jeff) Barrett of Troy, one son John (Megan) Walker Jr. of Wheaton Il, three grandchildren, Madison Barrett, Claire Walker and Patrick Walker, and one great grandson, Kyran Walker, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Michigan.
