Sharon M. O'Callaghan

Sharon O’Callaghan died at age 91, peacefully at home, on September 22, 2022. She leaves behind her husband of 71 years, Tom O’Callaghan, 5 children Tim O’Callaghan (Kathy) of Garden City, MI, Mike O’Callaghan of Harrisville, Teri O’Callaghan (Tracy) of Harrisville, Patty McFadden of Castle Rock, Co and Shawn O’Callaghan (Kathy) of White Lake, MI. 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. Sharon was a 20 year Army wife and lived in many U.S. states plus Germany. Once she earned her bookkeeping degree and they settled in Harrisville she became an elected official serving as City Clerk and then the City Treasurer. She spent many years as the Friend of the Court trying to protect and help the children of Alcona County. She had a passion for singing, spending 20 years as part of the local Sweet Adeline‘s chorus. She volunteered her time and money for many years to Habitat for Humanity. She was active in the ladies bowling league for many years and earned the distinction of High Scorer in 2019. Sharon also loved to make quilts and spent many hours with close friends making beautiful gifts. In lieu of flowers please donate to Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
