Ruth Geneva “Pesty” O'Connor, age 92 of East Tawas, formerly of Barton City passed away on February 6th, 2021. Pesty was born on December 10th, 1928 to Larry and Evelyn Peake of Barton City. Those who knew Pesty loved her. She was feisty and full of life. Pesty enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting (even out of season!), the cabin in the U.P, watching the deer, crosswords and game shows. Pesty spent many years bike riding, bowling and snowmobiling. She was up for anything her kids, grandkids and great grandkids were involved in. Pesty loved the Detroit Tigers, even when they were on a losing streak. There will be a hole in our hearts, but her legacy continues. Pesty was preceded in death by her husband Phillip O'Connor and son Mike O'Connor. She is survived by her brother John Peake, sister Frances Brown both of Barton City, her children Pat O'Connor of Detroit, Tim (Denise) O'Connor of Woodhaven, Phyllis (Joe) DeBuck of East Tawas, many Grand Children, Great Grand Children and one Great Great Grand Daughter Evelyn Parkinson of Glennie. Cremation will take place and a private memorial service at a later date.
