Robert B. Chisholm

Robert B. Chisholm, 79, of Harrisville, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023, at his home. Born October 26, 1943, to Ronald and Lucille (Beneauteau) Chisholm in Detroit, MI, he was raised there. On November 26, 1966, he married Carol Traskal in Detroit. Bob served as a police officer with the City of Detroit, and as a helicopter pilot. He retired to Harrisville in 1970 and served as a deputy with the Alcona County Sheriff Department. Bob loved horses, and enjoyed horseback riding, and equestrian competitions. He liked spending time on the water on his sailboat. Bob is survived by his wife, Carol, his stepson James (Kimberly) Alfonsi, and his granddaughter, Julia Alfonsi. He was preceded in death by his brother. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. Memorial donations are suggested to Gentle Giants Draft Horse Rescue, P.O.
