Robert A. Caretti Sr.

Robert A. Caretti, Sr., 81, of Barton City, Michigan passed away Monday, March 26, 2018.   He is survived by his sons- Robert Jr. (Joan) of New Baltimore, and John (Lori) of Warren, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two brothers Joseph “Merle” (Jean) Caretti of St. Benedict, Pennsylvania and Kenneth (Rita) Caretti of Ebensburg, Pennsylvania, and his wonderful friend Joann Katona of Barton City who cared for Robert during the last few months of his life.   He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy (nee’ Crooks) and his parents Joseph and Anna Madeline (nee’ Donahue) Caretti. Robert was a veteran of the United States Navy and proudly served aboard the destroyer U.S.S. Willard Keith (DD-775).  He was a retired engineer and supervisor of Chrysler Corporation. Mr. Caretti is at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln, MI where friends may call on Saturday, March 31, from 3pm to 6pm.  Visitation will continue Monday, April 2, at the Wujek-Calcaterra Funeral Home in Sterling Heights from 3pm to 9pm.  A prayer service will be at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, April 3, at St. Rene Goupil Church in Sterling Heights where Mr. Caretti will be in state from 9am until the funeral mass at 9:30am.
