Richard W. Jones

Richard W. Jones, 89, of Black River, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021 at his home. Born October 14, 1931 to William L. and Marian E. (Tibbetts) Jones in Ecorse, MI, he was raised there. Richard served in the U.S. Air Force. On September 26, 1952, he married Beverly A. Lindsey in Boise, Idaho. They were residents of Ecorse and Southgate. Richard retired from Ford Motor Company in 1982 as superintendent of skilled trades. He was a veracious reader and enjoyed golfing and painting. Richard is survived by three children, Susan (Dale) Nothnagel, Tom (Barbara Smith) Jones, and Patricia Jones, 10 grandchildren, Sarah, Adam, Ian, Alexander, Ruth, Seneca, Leanne, Lindsey, Brandy, and Aaron, 34 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly on October 27, 2006, and six siblings. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
