Richard “Dick” H. White, 84, of Luzerne, passed away Friday, July 21, 2023, at MyMichigan Medical Center in Midland. Born January 20, 1939, to Herman B. and Neva A. (Rodgers) White in Flushing, MI, he was raised there. On March 27, 1965, he married Mary Lee Blodgett in Flushing. Dick worked for General Motors at Fisher Body. In 1999, after 30 years he retired to his cabin in Luzerne. Dick loved the wildlife, especially watching his deer. He enjoyed traveling around the woods and going to classic car shows. Dick is survived by two daughters, Mary Jean White (Roy Dean), and Loretta Lynn (Don) Smith, eight grandchildren, Albert Broughton, Natasha (Dave Dunn) White, Kory Smith, Amanda (Dan) Broughton, Richard (Andrea) Smith, Rebecca (Russell) Broughton, Andrew (Brittany) Broughton, and Olivia (Jeremy) Broughton, 18 great grandchildren, Payton, Christian. Parker, Preston, Gabriel, Maddex, Jaxson, Moxley, Aurelia, Lilly, Raelynn, Harvey, Nathaniel, Isabella, Remington, Barret, Samantha, and Dean, and two sisters, Wanda, and Doris. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lee, on December 25, 2002, four sisters, Jean, Myrtle, Mildred “Punky”, and Melba, and his best friend of 16 years, Laura Davis. Private services have been held. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
