Patrick A. Coomes

Patrick A. Coomes Sr., 62, of Mikado, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022 at MyMichigan Medical Center in Alpena. Born November 22, 1959, to James and Dorothy (Heir) Coomes in Monroe, MI, he was raised in Waterford. On March 17, 1988, he married Ann Marie MacGregor in Grand Rapids. Longtime residents of Lowell, MI, Pat had a long career in the Tool and Die Industry. In 1993, they moved to Mikado. He retired from Aircraft Tool and Supply in 2021. Pat enjoyed golfing, ice skating, flying kites, and working with his children. Pat is survived by his wife, Ann Marie, two children, Jennifer Coomes and Patrick Coomes Jr., five sisters, Joan (Tom) Burns, Nancy (Dave) Grover, Leslie (Kevin) Brandon, Mary (Dale) Lee, Patricia (Duane) Campbell, his father-in-law, Edward MacGregor, his brother-in-law, Edward (Kelly) MacGregor, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Jim Coomes, and his brother-in-law, Bob Lee. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln.
