Norma J. Williams, 95, of Harrisville, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at MyMichigan Medical Center in Alpena. Born June 9, 1927 to Arthur “Nick” and Helen (Ranger) in Royal Oak, MI, she was raised in Barton City. On September 29, 1945, she married William Williams in Lincoln. Norma and Bill raised six of Bill’s brothers and sisters alongside their own family. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Harrisville, and of the Altar Society. She was a member of the Friends of the Lincoln Depot and enjoyed quilting at the depot. She enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved crafts and her garden. Norma is survived by two sons, Nick (Sandy) Williams of Spruce and Dennis Williams of Harrisville, four grandchildren, Amy (Jim) Harmer, Brian (Christina) Williams, Todd Williams, and Jodi Williams, five great grandchildren, Katie Harmer (Cole Dekett) Derik Harmer, Kylie Williams, Bret Williams, and Burghan (Tristan) Gordy, two sisters, Beatrice Wojnar, and Virgilene Smith, and one brother, Don Ranger. Norma was preceded in death by her husband Bill on June 26, 2012, her grandson, David N. Williams, three sisters, Christina Kurkerwicz, Margaret Zingaro, and Helen Skiver, and three brothers, Lloyd, Robert, and Dale Ranger. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. A memorial mass will be held at a later date.
