Norma Jean Vanderport

Norma Jean Vanderport, 82, of Harrisville, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at her home. She was born September 11, 1938 to William and Cecilia (Burnette) Leaym in Alpena, MI. On March 8, 1969, she married Gerald “Jerry” Vanderport in Alpena. She is survived by her husband, Gerald “Jerry” Vanderport, two daughters, Kathy (Dale) Dingeldien of Mikado, MI, and Theresa Montford of Mikado, MI, five grandchildren, Melissa Reames, Krystal (Doug) Leichtner, James (Tirena) Dingeldien, Gerald (Mandy) Dingeldein, and Autumn Donahue, 18 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Deloras (Paul) Cole, Lillian (Richard) Groffenberg, and Maryland (Robert) Benson, and two brothers, Ronald (Barb) Leaym, and Donald (Eester) Leaym. Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 10:00 AM at the Mikado Cemetery. Rev. Tyler Bischoff will officiate.
