Mary Frances Jackson, 74, of Spruce, MI passed away at her home on November 11th, 2021 surrounded by her family. Mary was born on September 12th, 1947 to Joe and Helen Carriveau in Spruce, MI. After graduating from Alcona Community High School in 1965, she went on to study cosmetology in Flint, MI. After graduation, Mary spent the next 40 years providing hair styling services to countless customers, making lifelong friends along the way. She was outgoing, charismatic, selfless, and loved to help others look & feel their very best. In 1989, Mary met Arthur Jackson in Flint, MI. They immediately hit it off and married a year later on July 7th. They lived in Flint, MI for 10 years, and then moved to their family-built home in Spruce, MI where they hosted countless get-togethers with family & friends. They were married for 31 wonderful years. Mary was an avid bowler for over 40 years, competing in, and winning many, local, state, & national tournaments. Mary was also very passionate about butterflies and filled her life & home with countless decorations that reminded her of her favorite symbol of transformation & beauty. Mary is survived by her husband Arthur, her son Greg Carriveau, her two stepchildren Amy Fletcher, Greg Jackson & his wife Danielle, her four grandchildren Justin Fletcher, Terryn Fletcher, Noah Jackson, & Peyton Jackson, and her two great-grandchildren James Fletcher & Jackson Fletcher. Mrs. Jackson is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln where visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 16, from 3:00 until 8:00 PM. Visitation will continue Wednesday, November 17, from 12:00 until the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Interment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.
