Mary Ann Shepherd, 93, of Harrisville, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at her home.

Born November 26, 1930, to Floyd and Harriet (Andrews) Ouimette in Flint, MI, she was raised there. On October 21, 1949, she married Robert H. Shepherd in Flint, where they were longtime residents. They retired to Harrisville in 1980. Ann was a devoted homemaker, an excellent cook, and enjoyed canning. She was known for her delicious Thanksgiving dinners and her famous Pineapple Upside Down Cake. She was a talented quilter, and enjoyed sewing. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Harrisville, where she had been a member of the Session, and served as an Elder. 

Ann is survived by two daughters, Cynthia (Michael) O’Dea and Susan (Larry) Schultz-Miller, one son, Robert F. (Casey) Shepherd, six grandchildren, Michelle Alexander, Christopher O’Dea, Carrie Beaulieu, Kyle Schultz, Robert Schultz, and Dirk Brewer, eight great grandchildren, Liam Grathoff, Trenton O’Dea, Trace O’Dea, Dalton Beaulieu, Evan Schultz, Mikayla Schultz, Robert Schultz, and Shepherd Schultz, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert on May 17, 2013, her daughter-in-law, Linda Shepherd, one sister, Jeanne White, and two brothers, Roderick and Charles Ouimette. 

Visitation will be Sunday, November 3, 2024 from 1:00 PM until the funeral service at 2:00 PM at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Harrisville. Rev. Karen Thompson will officiate. Burial will be in Mikado Cemetery. Memorial donations are suggested to the Westminster Presbyterian Church. Arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home.
