Gladys Marie Phillips, 80, of Harrisville, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at her home. Born June 20, 1938 to Lynn and Mildred L. (Radle) Dewey in Harrisville, she lived most of her life in Gustin Township. Marie graduated from Oscoda High School in 1956. She worked 20 years at Harrisville Tool Company and worked at Mental Health before coming to work at Lincoln Haven. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Barton City Eagles 4141, TOPS club, and the Alcona Humane Society. Marie is survived by her daughter Pamela (Joseph) Maher of Lincoln, three grandchildren, John (Leslie) Matthews, Crystal Throop, and Dana Pettit, four great grandchildren, Devin, Jayda, and Brooklynn Matthews and Zoe Throop, one sister, Ilah Johnson, and her niece, Pat Metzler. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Phillips on April 12, 1994, three daughters, Lisa D. Phillips, Colleen B. Phillips, and Sheila Phillips, and one sister, Helen Lovett. Mrs. Phillips is at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln, where friends may call on Friday, June 7, 2019 from 11:00 until 1:00, when Rev. Edward Morrison will share remarks. Visitation will continue at the First Baptist Church in Lincoln on Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 11:00 AM until the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Rev. Dr. Arie Van Brenk will officiate. Burial will be in Mikado Cemetery.
