Leslie R. Donaldson

Leslie R. Donaldson, 94, of Lincoln, passed away Monday, July 30, 2018 at Jamieson Nursing Home in Harrisville. Born February 15, 1924 to Ross and Amelia (Olstrom) Donaldson in Barton City, MI, he has been a lifelong resident of the area.  Les served in the U.S. Army during WWII. On December 8, 1951, he married Mildred “Millie” Campbell in Haynes Township. Les was a member of the Ossineke Eagles Aerie #3762.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Les is survived by two daughters, Brenda (Chester Kowalski) Donaldson of Sterling Heights, and Barbara Spencer of Lincoln, one son, Wayne (Marcela) Donaldson of Denver CO, one grandson, Lance (Deborah) Spencer of Donalsonville GA, one sister, Zella Gonyea of Alpena, one brother, Orval “Joe” (Glenda) Donaldson of Barton City, as well as many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Millie on July 23, 2014, and two sons, Gary A. Donaldson, and Gene Donaldson. Mr. Donaldson is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln where friends may call on Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 12:00 PM until the funeral service at 2:00 PM.  Burial will be in Mt.
