Leo Alfred Travis, 83, of Mikado, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at MidMichigan Medical Center, Alpena. Born July 21, 1935 to Glen and Carrie (Procunier) Travis in Mikado, he has been a lifelong resident of the area. Leo served in the U.S. Army from 1957-1958, and served on the Mikado Volunteer Fire Department for many years. Leo married his wife of 56 years, Marion Bellmore, on July 14, 1962. Leo was employed at Harrisville Tool and Parts Manufacturing until his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Marion, one son, Terry (Elaine) Travis, two daughters, Tammy (Dan) Whitmore and Tracy (James) Speed, 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, one brother, Clifford (Cathy) Travis, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Delbert Travis. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. Private services have been held.
