Leo Dean Pearce, 84, of Lincoln, passed away November 29, 2020 at Mid Michigan Medical Center in Alpena. He was born September 27, 1936 to Joseph and Almina (Shaw) Pearce in Lincoln, he was a lifelong resident of the area. He was an avid hunter. He worked several years at the Alcona Road Commission before his retirement. He married Phebie Williams on June 29, 1973 in Lincoln. Leo is survived by two children, Al (Susie) Pearce, Julia Stach (Rolland Luebben), four grandchildren, Andrew, Kristina, Jessica, and Alisha Pearce, six great grandchildren, and two sisters, JoAnn Grant and Gloria Loucks. His extended family was very dear to him, and survivors include four step children, Gail (Warren) Leeseberg, Linda (Rick) Choate, Sandra (Kenneth) Cholewa, and John Kimberlin, several step grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Phebie, on November 25, 2020, two children, Neil and Larry Pearce, his son-in-law, Richard Stach, a grandson, three brothers, two sisters, and three step grandchildren. Mr. Pearce is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where friends may call on Friday, December 4, 2020 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Saturday, December 5, 2020 from 11:00 AM until the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Rev. Wayne Whitten will officiate. Burial will be in Twin Lakes Cemetery, Lincoln. Masks are required at the funeral home, as well as social distancing.
