Larry A. Reames

Larry A. Reames, 78, of Harrisville, passed away due to COVID-19 Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Mid Michigan Medical Center, Alpena. Born July 23, 1942 to Harold V. and Leora B. (Rushman) Reames in Mikado, MI, he was raised in Alcona County. On May 19, 1962, he married Rosemary Truman in Harrisville. They were residents of Alpena and Flint, where Larry worked for General Motors for 12 years. He moved to Oscoda where he and his family owned rental apartments. Larry worked restoring and rebuilding the apartments. In 1974 he started working in the maintenance department at Oscoda Area Schools. Larry loved hunting, watching the deer in his backyard and bowling. He was strong and dependable and full of unconditional love. Larry is survived by his wife Rosemary, three sons, Terry (Denise) Reames of Livonia, Rodney (Lindsey) Reames of Kentwood, and Chris (LaRae) Reames of Melbourne, FL, seven grandchildren, Jaylen, Darien, A.J., Alexis, Chase, Zac, and Olivia Reames, one sister, Valerie (Walt) Joslin, and one brother Duane (Althea) Reames. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Barb Becker and Carole Campbell, and one brother, Jerry Reames. Private funeral services have been held. Burial was in Twin Lakes Cemetery, Lincoln.
