It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Larissa Rose Eldridge, who left this world suddenly on January 15, 2025, at the age of 36. Larissa was born on June 3, 1988, in North Conway, New Hampshire. She grew up in Alcona & losco County Michigan but after living her 20's in Flint, Michigan she made her home in Curran, Michigan, where she embraced life with an infectious spirit and unwavering love for her family and friends.

Larissa was a devoted mother to her children-Xavior Eldridge-Bush, Aalayah Vock, Johnny Vock, Dashawn Tyus Jr., Zykiaria Tyus, and Donyea Tyus. She poured her heart and soul into motherhood, nurturing her children with a love that knew no bounds. Her spirit will live on in them, as they carry forward her legacy of strength, kindness, and humor.

She is survived by her loving family, including her mother Andrea Eldridge and her stepfather Clinton Kennedy. She was a wonderful sister to Ivy Eldridge, who, alongside her partner Bill McGeathy, shared countless memories with Larissa. Although she didn't get the opportunity to grow up alongside her brothers Jason (Erin) Dore, Curt (Tawny-Rea) Shook, Lawrence Coats, William Carroll, and Wyatt Carroll as an adult she had made sure to create and grow relationships with each of them. Larissa also leaves behind cherished grandparents, Papa Freeman Woodward and Papa Lawrence Eldridge, along with an extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins who adored her. Among them are Aunt Thresa (Uncle Jeff) Whiting, her beloved nieces and nephews: Kenadee McGeathy, Ainsley McGeathy, Trenten Dore, Kristina Hughes, Xavior Dore, Annalyissa Drew, Dylan Hebert, Alyssa Thomas, Jaxson Dore, Brody Shook, and Ryker Shook, and cousins Amanda Whiting and Justin Whiting.

Larissa considered many people family and made real truth of the quote by Maya Angelou "Family isn't always blood, it's the people in your life who want you in theirs: the ones who accept you for who you are, the ones who would do anything to see you smile and who love you no matter what."

Larissa was preceded in death by her beloved Nana, Jacquelyne Woodward, her uncle Duane Woodward, and her dear Grandma Sandra Eldridge, whose memories she cherished deeply. Their memories will forever hold a special place in her family's hearts.

Larissa's life was filled with vibrant experiences. A proud graduate of Hale Area High School in 2007, she embarked on various career paths, ultimately finding her true calling in home health care with ComForCare of Gaylord, Michigan. Her compassion for others blossomed in this role, as she formed meaningful relationships with those she cared for, truly making a difference in their lives. In addition, she recently ventured into candle making, a passion that highlighted her creativity and entrepreneurial spirit and filled her with excitement and joy.

In 2024, Larissa discovered new love with her boyfriend, Dustin Lee, who brought her happiness and companionship that she treasured deeply. This relationship was a testament to her ability to love wholeheartedly, even amidst life's challenges.

Larissa was known for her beautiful smile, intelligence, and boisterous personality. She had a natural charisma that drew people to her. Her laughter and love filled every room she entered. She loved spending time with family and friends, whether it was going to the beach, playing Yahtzee, floating down the river, dancing, or singing. Her spiritual journey led her to attend Hale Baptist Church in her youth, where she cherished the community and fellowship, later finding her own unique path of spirituality. Larissa will be remembered not only for her warmth and joyful spirit but also for the impact she had on the lives of everyone she encountered.

A funeral service to honor Larissa's life will be held on January 23, 2025, at the First Baptist Church, located at 202 E. Main Street, Lincoln, MI 48742, visitation and viewing from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with the funeral service held at 1:00 PM. We invite all who knew and loved her to join us in celebrating her life and the memories we will hold dear. Please dress respectfully casual. Following the funeral service there will be a memorial luncheon held at the hall next to the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to assist with the unexpected expenses through the GoFundMe link:
