Karen Wingart

Karen Wingart, 73, of Harrisville, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025 at her home.

Born August 19, 1951, to Laurence and Melba (Spencley) Gauthier in Detroit, MI, she was raised in Harrisville. Karen taught math at Morrice High School, and later at Baker College and Alpena Community College. She moved back to Harrisville in 2014. Karen enjoyed sewing, crochet, quilting, and a good home renovation project. She was an avid Bridge player, and enjoyed exercising.

Karen is survived by her daughter, Karly (Ashley Junga) Renaud, her son, Kevin Wingart, four siblings, Renee Tierney, Maureen “Mo” (Gary) Somers, Marla (Earl) Lindsey, and Larry (Barb Spencer) Gauthier, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Marvin Gauthier.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at Theresa’s Diner in Harrisville.
