Joyce J. Brown

  Joyce J. Brown, 85, of Harrisville, formerly of Flint, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Jamieson Nursing Home in Harrisville.    Born May 17, 1933 to Earl and Frances (Keely) Judd in Flint, she was raised there.  On June 22, 1957, she married John Brown in Swartz Creek, MI, and they were residents of Flint and Chesaning.  Joyce worked as a secretary and tutor for the Flint public school system.  She loved to volunteer, and enjoyed the Grandparents Mentoring Program through the Flint Board of Education, as well as the Carriage Town Ministry.  Joyce moved to Lincoln in 2014, and was a member of the Lincoln United Methodist Church.   Joyce is survived by three children, Neil (Kathy) Brown of Fenton, Susan (Danny) Bulgajewski of Barton City, and Eileen (Steve) Szarafinski of Mikado, ten grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John, two sons, David Brown and Charles Brown, four sisters and one brother.    Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.  Private services will be held.
