John F. Stutzman, 77, of Lincoln, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at his home. Born November 7, 1941 to John and Elizabeth (Therr) Stutzman in Utica, he was raised in Emmett. On September 7, 1968 he married Constance Cordes in Barton City they resided in Lincoln. John was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Oscoda and a longtime Trustee for the Village of Lincoln. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and tending to his beautiful flower gardens. He is survived by his daughter, Karen (Gerald) Abee of Greenbush, his son, Michael (Jamie) Stutzman of Lapeer, a sister, Betty (Rein) Brueggeman of South Carolina and a brother, Robert Stutzman of Lincoln, four grandchildren, Marcus Stutzman, and Matthew, Joshua and Zachary Abee, his brother-in-law, William Cordes and his sister-in-law, Brenda Cordes. John was preceded in death by his wife Constance on July 2, 2015. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 25, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Oscoda. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until the service at 11:00 AM. Rev. Timothy Azaam will officiate. A luncheon will follow after the service. Memorial donations suggested to Hospice of Michigan or Trinity Lutheran Church, Oscoda. Cremation arrangements were made to Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
