John D. Moshier

John David Moshier, 73, of Spruce, passed away Monday, October 7, 2019 at Medilodge of Hillman.   Born January 16, 1946 to Hoyt and Bernice Moshier in Oxford, he was a longtime resident. John loved his country, and proudly served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.   On September 19, 1970, he married Harriett McDaniel in Oxford. They resided there until John retired from General Motors and they moved to Spruce in 1995. John enjoyed reading and taking care of his farm, and especially tending to his garden.   John is survived by his wife Harriett, his daughter Rachel (Thomas) Sotirovski of Macomb Twp., his son Chris (Pam) Moshier of Richmond, MI, five grandchildren, Evan, Noah, Lucas, Jacob and Angela, his sister, Joanne Benedict, and two brothers, Wayne and Lynn Moshier. He was preceded in death by his sister, Janet Garrett.   Private family services have been held.
