Joan Marie Pearson

Joan Marie (Selig) Pearson – 88 Years Old; December 30, 1933 – February 27, 2022; passed away peacefully at Tanglewood Assisted Living in Fenton Michigan. Joan was born in Kaukauna Wisconsin on December 30, 1933 to Harry and Wilma (Schiefelbein) Selig. She graduated from Appleton High School in 1951 and met the “Love of her Life”, predeceased, Robert J. Pearson while attending nursing school in Chicago. The two married June 5, 1954 and raised their 3 children in Clarkston Michigan. Upon retirement, Joan and Bob moved to Lost Lake Woods Club where they established and treasured so many dear friendships. She was an avid golfer, played on the dart league and bowled until just a couple years ago. Joan was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Ossineke Michigan. She taught Sunday School, Coached Baseball, always volunteered in her community and church, giving her everything to everybody. She is survived by her children, Steve Pearson, Greg (Ann) Pearson, Kay (Robin) Pearson, her Granddaughter, Taylor (Zulymar) Loperena, Grandson Jordan(Nicole) Pearson, brother Jerry (Carol) Selig, sister Nancy (Dan) Gorell, two nephews, Jamie Selig and Kyle Nickasch, her niece Jodi (Robert) Selig Rasch, a great niece Ava, her cousin Donna Nettekoven, and so many dear friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2022, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 10, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Hope Lutheran Church in Ossineke.
