Joan Gonyea

Joan Gonyea, 81, passed away suddenly Tuesday, November 9th 2021, at home surrounded by family. Joan was born on May 5th, 1940 in Detroit, MI to Joseph and Mary Gonyea. She enjoyed her cabin by the lake, painting, playing poker, gardening and spending time with family. She was known for her quick wit, her infectious smile and laugh, and her kind and compassionate spirit. She loved travelling and was fond of her time overseas in Europe. Joan was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Gonyea, mother, Mary Gonyea, husband Gene Glod, and daughter Mara Eaves. She is survived by her granddaughter Samantha Brackett (Francis Brackett), grandson, Joseph Eaves, great granddaughter Brianna Brackett, Sisters Kathy Putsky (Bill Putsky), Donna Armstrong, Marylou Gonyea (Brett Andrews) and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Mrs. Gonyea is at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln where visitation will take place Friday, November 19, 2021 from 12:00 until the funeral service at 1:00 PM.
