Joan B. Bird

Joan B. Bird, 90, of East Tawas, formerly of Saginaw, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2022 at McLaren Bay Region Hospital in Bay City. Born August 8, 1932 to Elza E. and Thelma (Winn) Bradley in Franklin County, Illinois, she was raised there. Joan was a devoted homemaker, and also worked as a medical assistant. She enjoyed working as a grandmother and teacher’s aide at Chester Miller Schools in Saginaw. She was involved in many church activities and enjoyed reading and watching travel programs. Joan is survived by two daughters, Debra (John) Meyer of East Tawas, and Diana Bird of East Tawas, and her son, Dennis (Joyce) Bird of Lincoln. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Wid, Dale, and Dick Bradley. Interment was in Mt. Joy Cemetery, Haynes Township, Michigan. Arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
