Jill Ann Girardin

Jill Ann Girardin, 66, of Alpena, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022 at Ascension St. Joseph in Tawas. Born September 18, 1955 to Donovan and Dorothy (Thornton) McCormick in Highland Park, Michigan. She was raised in southeastern Michigan and moved to Alpena in October 2018. Jill worked for 27 years as a Sr. Probation Clerk for the United States Probation Department in Detroit, Michigan, retiring in December 2012. Jill was often described as a thoughtful, kind and genuine person. She enjoyed all things Coca-Cola, had a love for animals, trying her luck during casino trips, playing Yahtzee, going on road trips and spending time with family. She also loved 50’s-70’s pop/rock music and would happily turn up the volume to any song by The Beatles or The Monkees. Jill is survived by her mother Dorothy McCormick, two daughters, Jennifer Paskiewicz and Sarah (Joshua) Dorow, two brothers, Mark (Cyndy) McCormick and Matthew McCormick (Guy Molnar), as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews, a great-niece and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Donovan McCormick and sister, Kathryn (McCormick) Kijek. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln. No memorial service will occur. Memorial donations are suggested to any Humane Society of your choosing.
