Janet I. Ross

Janet I. Ross, 73, of Barton City, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Select Specialty Hospital in Saginaw.

Born June 7, 1951 to William and Mae (Paulsrud) Rifenbark in Lincoln, she was raised in Pinconning, MI. On June 28, 1969, she married Frederick Ross in Barton City, where they were longtime residents. Janet loved the small town life. She was a devoted homemaker, and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Barton City Eagles Aerie 4141, and enjoyed playing pool and horseshoes. 

Janet is survived by her daughter, Christy (Darrel) Bare, her son, Kenneth (Sarah) Ross, ,three grandchildren, Daniel Abbenga, Isaak VonFintel, and Rachel Ross, three sisters, Karen Mogg, Debra Rifenbark, and Liticia Norton, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred on April 11, 2012, her son Michael Ross, and two brothers, William “Buck” and Dennis Rifenbark. 

Janet is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where visitation will take place on Sunday, September 15, 2024, from 11:00 AM until the funeral service at 2:00 PM.
