Jamie Sue White

Jamie Sue White, 85, of Spruce, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at her home.

Born June 30, 1938, to James and Juanita (Henneke) Jackson in Flint, MI she was raised there.  Jamie worked for General Motors for many years.  On April 6, 1956, she married Roy White in Flint.  In 1987, she moved to Spruce, where she loved working on her farm and tending to her horses.  Jamie enjoyed crochet, sitting on her front porch, and sitting around the bonfire. 

Jamie is survived by her daughter, Peggy (Benson) Cripps of Grand Blanc, MI, her son, Jim (Tere) White of Interlochen, MI, six grandchildren, Stefanie, Caitlin, Christopher, Benjamin, Katie, and Alex, ten great grandchildren, her sister, Judy (George) Gunckel, and her close friends Sue and Bob Piantkowski, and Sarah and Gordon Granger.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, on December 14, 2008, and her daughter Diana White on August 25, 2020. 

Visitation will be at Jamie’s home, 5470 N. School Road, Spruce from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Sunday, October 8, 2023.  Arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.  Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Michigan.
