James W. Houser

James W. Houser, 83, of Lincoln, passed away Friday, June 3, 2022 at his home. Born February 2, 1939 to Kenneth D. and Mildred E. (Dickson) Houser in Akron, Ohio, he was raised in Dearborn, Michigan. Jim earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Michigan, Dearborn and worked as an Engineer for Ford Motor Company. On May 15, 1962, he married Nancy Foss. They raised their family in Plymouth and Hartland, Michigan. Jim retired to Lost Lake Woods Club in Lincoln where he had been a longtime member and volunteer firefighter. Jim was first and foremost a family man. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, and traveling. Jim is survived by his daughter, Cheryl (Dan) DesEnfants, his son, Ken (Lisa) Houser, five grandchildren, Taylor (Nicole) DesEnfants, Elaine DesEnfants, Nick Houser, Kristina Siegel-Davis, and Michael (Hannah) Siegel, three great grandchildren, Jason Perkin, Isabella Houser, and Oliver DesEnfants, his special friend, Carolyn Brown, two brothers, Jerry (Barb) and Tom Houser, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy on April 12, 2014, and his grandson Dusten Houser on February 7, 2019. Visitation will be at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, on Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 2:00 P.M. until the memorial service at 3:00 P.M. Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Michigan.
