Ivy L. Thrasher

Ivy Lavell Thrasher, 73, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 28, 2023.  

Ivy was born November 23, 1949 to Delmer and Vernalee (Guthrie) Thrasher in Rector, Arkansas.  Ivy grew up in Arkansas on a cotton farm before relocating to Michigan during her early teen years.  Ivy never met a stranger and could talk to anyone which was prevalent during her career as a waitress and restaurant owner.  Ivy would go out of her way to make conversation and invite anyone to family gatherings.  She cherished family time and enjoyed camping, fishing, four wheeling, snowmobiling, garage sales, and making casino trips.  During her later years, Ivy enjoyed conversations over coffee, casino games on the computer, Facebook, and seeing her best friend, Sue, her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.  

Ivy is survived by her daughter, Kelly (Shane) Rhoades, step-daughter, Nikkolet (Steven) Schnettler, daughter-in-law, Tarrie Wright, best friend, Susan (Jerry) Huntley, sisters, Lavonna (Jesse) Thompson, and Myralee (Troy) Millsap, brother, Donnie (Terri) Thrasher, grandkids, Joseph (Monique) Wright, Britney (Michael) Ferman, Shelby (Nick) Waters, Jimmy (Ashley) Wright, Andrew (Megan) Wright, Kyle (Kaitlyn) Oates, CJ (Sarah) Rhoades, Chanse Burge, Rocky Rhoades, and Samantha Rhoades, and great grandkids, Camrin and Hayden Ferman, Paisley and Waylon Wright, Huxlee Wright, Axel Brynn, and Kennedy Waters.  She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Wright on January 23, 2022, and her brother, Ronnie Thrasher.  

Ivy is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where visitation will be Saturday, November 4, 2023, from 11:00 AM until the funeral service at 2:00 PM.
