Hazen Duane Schram, 86, of Lincoln, passed away on January 13, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Lincoln, MI to Earl and Theresa (Burge) Schram. He was preceded in death by brothers Lloyd, Earl Jr., Virgil and Everette Schram, and sisters Ruth Mallory and Bernice Graham. He married Barbara (Scott) on September 19, 1959. They were lucky enough to be married 61 years. They were blessed with 5 children, Craig (Barbara) Schram of Lincoln, Jennifer (James) Sweet of Mikado, Michael Schram of Gwinn, David (Shannon) Schram of Grand Rapids, and Amy (James) Mills of Oscoda. He was also blessed with 17 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother LeRoy (Denise) Schram. Hazen graduated from Oscoda High School in 1953. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a finish carpenter, working for Don Read, Werth Builders, and Bill Bushey. He was active in the Northeastern Michigan Houndsman Association. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the outdoors. He loved watching sports and car racing (as long as a Ford was winning). He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. A memorial will take place in the spring. Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice Compassus of Atlanta, MI.
