Gordon F. Stewart

Gordon F. Stewart, 71, of Harrisville, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Ascension St. Joseph Hospital in Tawas City. Born February 13, 1949 in Greenbush, MI, he has been a lifelong resident of the area with the exception of his tour with the U.S. Army in Vietnam and college in New Jersey after. On August 14, 1979, he married Becky Jacobs in Harrisville. In his younger years Gordon enjoyed traveling the country on his motorcycle with his friends, and later in life reminiscing around the woodstove with most of those same friends and Busch Light. All while critiquing the boys’ projects in the garage, but also taking just as much pride in them. The majority of his time was devoted to his family’s needs through his own auto repair shop, after his time as a service writer at Jensen Buick. He was an avid hunter, getting his most recent buck this fall. Gordon is survived by his children, Dan (Carrie) Stewart, Jessica Stewart, and Christopher Stewart, five grandchildren, Ryan, Taylor, Karlee, Ally, and Cole, two brothers, Arlyn and Wayne Stewart, and three sisters, Janet Johnson, Evelyn Good, and Vivian Miles. He was preceded in death by his wife, Becky on June 8, 2013, his sister Connie Jones, and his brother, Wesley Stewart. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
