Gail M. Chartrand

Gail M. Chartrand, 76, of Harrisville, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2024.

Born August 9, 1948, to Robert and Christine (Jensen) Nelson in Detroit, she was raised there. She moved to Greenbush in 1978. She married Anthony Chartrand in 1998 in Oscoda, and they were residents of Harrisville. Gail worked for RPI and Oxford Automotive in Oscoda. A faithful member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Harrisville, where she served as a Deacon, Liturgist, and Greeter. She enjoyed many church activities including Bible Study, and the Veteran’s Coffee Hour. She loved paper art, especially making cards and bookmarks and liked crossword puzzles. 

Gail is survived by her husband, Anthony, her brother Richard (Janet) Nelson, nephews. Michael Moore, Eric Nelson, and Chris Nelson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Robert Nelson, her aunt, Julie Nelson, and her uncle Glen Nelson. 

There will be a memorial service Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 1:30 PM at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Harrisville. Rev. Karen Thompson will officiate. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
