Frank W. Byron Sr., 86, of Glennie, formerly of Saginaw, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019 at his home. Born September 26, 1932 to R. Wesley and Ruby Grace (Seymour) Byron in Saginaw, he lived there for most of his life. Frank worked for Grey Iron Foundry in Saginaw for 44 years retiring in 1995. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing his guitar. He was a member of the Pluaski Club, and was a former Mason. In 2017 he moved to Glennie. He was an avid bird watcher, club poker player, and Detroit Tigers fan. Frank is survived by five children, Sheryl (Ken) Foster of Oscoda, Rhonda (Bob) Hart of Saginaw, Frank Byron Jr., of Glennie, Rodney Byron of Oscoda, and Max (Stacy) Byron of Bay City, 11 grandchildren, Brooke (Jon) Foster-Stalker, Joel (Lisa) Foster, Christopher (Kathy) Hart, Justin (Joy) Hart, Scott (Angie) Byron, Tiffany (Jamie) Daniels, Joshua (Jessikah) Byron, Brett (Alison) Byron, Lucas (Lea) Byron, Michael (Kaitlyn) Byron, and Nicole Byron, 27 great grandchildren, three sisters, Nikki Klompurs, Tharon Wardlow, and Lucille Cowels, one brother, Leon Byron, and his close friend Jerry (Linda) Valentine. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jamie Ayers and his sister June Aven. Mr. Byron is at Gillies Funeral Home in Harrisville, where friends may call on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 from 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Pastor Glenn Bake will officiate.
