Floyd C. Tacia, 94, of Spruce, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Turning Brook in Alpena. Born December 19, 1927, to Capron A. and Laura (Kitter) Tacia in Alpena, he was raised in Spruce, MI. On September 18, 1950 he married Barbara Pepperell in Indiana. Floyd served in the U.S. Army. He was a longtime resident of Royal Oak and Utica before retiring from Ford Motor Company in 1989. Floyd enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting. He was a member of Lost Lake Woods Club in Lincoln for 51 years. Floyd is survived by two sons, Ronald (Sidni) Tacia and Marvin (Gail) Tacia, three grandchildren, Steven (Tresana) Tacia, Robert ( Ashley) Tacia, and Jillian (Matt) Keating, three great grandchildren, his sister, Evagene Thompson, and his dear friend, Carol Boyd. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara on January 20, 2009. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery in the spring. Arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln.
