Eleanor M. Silverthorn, 95, of Lincoln, passed away Saturday December 7, 2019 at Jamieson Nursing Home in Harrisville. Born November 12, 1924 to Mark and Charlotte (Emerick) Fulsher in Harrisville, MI, she was a life long resident of the area. On June 21, 1947, she married Arthur Silverthorn in Lincoln. Eleanor worked for the Alcona County Register of Deeds for many years. She was a member of the Harrisville VFW Auxiliary and of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed her garden, and spending holidays with her family members. She enjoyed traveling and attending Alcona High School basketball games. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lincoln. She is survived by three sisters, Evelyn Maslauskas of West Virginia, Anna Gail Burgess of Whittemore, and Mona Fae (Rick) Rozanek of Lincoln, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Art on December 23, 1997, her sister, Edna Carpenter, and three brothers, Howard, Robert and George (Ed) Fulsher. Mrs. Silverthorn is at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln, where friends may call on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 from 11:00 AM until the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Rev. Arie Van Brenk will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Joy Cemetery, Haynes Township. Memorial donations are suggested to the Alcona Humane Society or to the Mikado Goodfellows.
