Edna J. Rainey

Edna J. Rainey, 94, of Greenbush, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022, at Ascension St. Mary’s in Saginaw. Born June 6, 1927, to Charles and Anna (Asmus) Nowitzke in Wyandotte, MI, she was raised there. On June 1, 1945, she married James Rainey in Wyandotte. Edna worked as a secretary and retired to her summer cottage in Greenbush in 1982. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Oscoda. She enjoyed traveling, baking, and spending time with her family. Edna is survived four children, James Dean Rainey, Timothy C. Rainey, Ann Christian, and David E. Rainey, seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln.
