Edith P. Bobick, 91, of Harrisville, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2020 at her home. Born September 8, 1928 to George and Bessie (Nevins) Loyer in Mikado, she was raised on a dairy farm in Alcona County. Edith was a long time resident of Bay City, where she worked in housekeeping at Bay Medical Center, and as a caregiver at the Bay County Juvenile Home. She loved to crochet, and enjoyed sewing, tending to her plants, and cooking and canning. She moved to Harrisville in 2004. Edith is survived by her five children, Rosalie (Paul) Lobodzinski of Rose City, Larry (Merle “Buffy” ) Bobick of Ossineke, Judy (Alan) Dubie of Alpena, Virginia (Roger) Nash of Onaway, and Stanley (Sandy) Bobick of Kawkawlin, 13 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and her brother George (Merry Lou) Loyer. She was preceded in death by her grandson Jason Patrick Bobick, two sisters, Jennie Anderson and Florence “Honey” Manning, and by her former husband, Stanley Bobick. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
