Earl "Lee" Allen, 54, of Glennie, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024 at his home.


Lee was born the same day as his wife: on March 11, 1970. He was born in Royal Oak, but raised in Madison Heights, by Earl Fredrick and Laura (Mills) Allen. On July 9, 1994, he married Bridget Lee Thornton at Iargo Springs recently celebrating 30 years. Lee worked for the Hunting and Trapping division of Phoenix. He was a member of Lott Baptist Church in Glennie where he volunteered with the food bank and baby pantry. He was an avid fishermen who taught all of his children and grandchildren to fish, a D&D gamer, and a member of the Happy Head Horde (a college friend group). He enjoyed watching wrestling, and Detroit Lions fan. Most importantly, he was a devoted husband, amazing father and exceptional grandfather, and a loyal friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

 

Lee is survived by his beloved wife, Bridget, three children, Catherine “Cat” (Derek) Mauler, Crystal (Matt) Murphy, and Sandra Cochrane, several foster children, including James Landry and Alisha Louchart, ten grandchildren, Sean and Brianna Mauler, Damion, Luna, Solaris, Astarra, Draconia, and Gracelynn Murphy, Rebecca Cochrane, and Stephanie Orlando, his brother, Kenneth Allen, his father and mother-in-law, Allen and Esther Thornton, three sisters-in-law, Laurie D’Annunzio, Leah Gorman-Thornton, and Alison Thornton, and his nieces and nephews, Alyissa (David) Fox, Kody Allen, Robert, Derick, and Lauren D’Annunzio, and Micah Gorman. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Fredick Allen.

 

Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln. A memorial service will be held at Lott Baptist Church on August 3, 2024 at 11am.
