Doris A. Denolf

Doris A. Denolf, 90, of Mikado, passed away Sunday. August 26, 2018 at Iosco County Medical Care Facility in Tawas City.   Born June 2, 1928 to John F. and Mary (Deright) Jones Sr. in Panama, IL, she was raised in Detroit.  On April 5, 1946 she married Adhemar “Art” Denolf in Detroit.  Doris was a supervisor at Michigan Bell, and later worked at General Telephone in Davison, retiring in 1988.  In 1990, she moved to Mikado from Ortonville.  Doris was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Mikado, and of the Mikado Goodfellows.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed her Hummel Collection.    Doris is survived by her son, Tom (Corinne) Denolf of Mikado, one granddaughter, Chrissy (Mike) Allen, one great granddaughter, Shelby Allen, and one brother, Tom (Barbara) Jones.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Art on February 24, 2000, two sisters, Lena Marciao and Virginia Main, and one brother, John Jones Sr.    Mrs. Denolf is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where friends may call on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.  Visitation will continue Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM.  Rev.
