Donald P. Tacia

Donald P. Tacia, 75, of Lincoln, passed away Friday, June 21, 2024 at Encompassing Care Adult Foster Care in Ossineke.

Born December 12, 1948, to Warren and Eva (Jukuri) Tacia in Highland Park, he was raised in Troy. On June 12, 1974, he married Connie Bennet in Troy. They resided in Troy, and raised their family in Oxford, later moving to Hadley. Don was an electrical engineer with General Motors. He retired at 52, and moved to Lincoln in 2005. Don loved spending time at his hunting camp, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. We liked woodworking, and was a “Jack of All Trades”, passing his knowledge on to his son. 

Don is survived by his wife of 50 years, Connie, his son Brad (Lindsay) Tacia, his daughter, Michelle (Ryan) Kirkland, six grandchildren, Audrey, Vivienne, Benjamin and Zachary Tacia and Emily and Addison Kirkland, and his sister Lois (Jim) Ashbrook. 

There will be a memorial service Saturday, July 20, 2023 at 12:30 PM at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln. Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice Compassus.
