Donald V. Proulx, 83, of Lost Lake Woods Club, Lincoln, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022. Born October 11, 1939 to Virgil G. and Leola A. (St. John) Proulx in Detroit, MI, he was raised in Westacres in West Bloomfield, MI. Don served in the U.S. Army with the 101st Airborne. On October 24, 1959, he married Barbara Lucas in Orchard Lake. Don worked as a painting contractor and later owned and operated Custom Homes by Don Proulx. He retired to Lost Lake Woods Club, where he enjoyed hunting, golfing, and watching sports. He spent winters in Arizona and Florida and was a member of the American Legion Post #347 in Lady Lake, Florida. Don is survived by his wife, Barbara, two daughters, Dawn (James) Zielinski and Susan (Jeff) Hargis, four grandchildren, Sara Krause, Ryan Perry, and Lucas and Zachary Hargis, two great grandchildren, Zoe and Lawson Krause, two sisters, Beverly Hughes and Lynda (Tom) Molter, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Donald David Proulx in 1983. Mr. Proulx is at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln, where visitation will be Friday, November 11, 2022 from 1:00 PM until the funeral service at 3:00 PM.
