Donald Erastas Kilgore

Donald Erastas Kilgore, 84, of Spruce, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, April 22, 2021. Born November 6, 1936 to Albert L. and Eula Bell (Barnes) Kilgore in Ethridge, TN, he was raised in Michigan. On April 14, 1956 he married Phyllis Pulley in Denver, Co. Don served 25 years in the United States Air Force and retired as a Sr. Master Sergeant in 1980. He worked for ITT in Oscoda for 13 years and was a substitute bus driver for Alcona Community Schools. Don was an active member and Deacon of Northland Baptist Church. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. Don is survived by his wife, Phyllis, his daughter, Desiree (Al) Lipski of Hubbard Lake, his son Michael (Laurie) Kilgore of Hubbard Lake, four grandchildren, Timothy (Jessica) Kilgore, Jeremiah (Dawna) Kilgore, Janelle (Brett) Trepanier, and Sydnie Lipski, ten great grandchildren, Daisy-Mae, Cassie, Tyler, Hunter, Wesley, Zoe, Nathaniel, Ethan, Maia, and Bailey, four great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, FayRene and Patricia. Mr. Kilgore is at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln, where friends may call on Monday, April 26, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Pastor Greg Lepianka will officiate. Burial will be in Twin Lakes Cemetery, Lincoln. Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Michigan.
