Diane J. Donovan

Diane J. Donovan, 72, of Lincoln, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at her home.   Born July 15, 1946 to George and Zella (Donaldson) Gonyea in Harrisville, she was a lifelong resident of Alcona County. On February 14, 1969 she married Alfred Timothy Donovan in Lincoln. He preceded her in death on June 21, 1974. Diane was a bus driver with Alcona Community Schools for over 30 years, retiring in 2012. She owned and operated Northern Woods Restaurant in Ossineke from 2007-2010. She was a hard worker, who enjoyed her family and keeping in touch with her friends. She enjoyed trips to the casino, BINGO games, and spending time with her grandchildren.   Diane is survived by her daughter, Rhonda (Jeff) Gehring of Harrisville, her son Randy Donovan of Black River, five grandchildren, Tim, Madison, and Tatum Donovan and Ella and Evan Gehring, her mother Zella Gonyea, her brother, Ron (Kathy) Gonyea, and her beloved canine companion, Ike. She was preceded in death by her sister, Gloria Hendricks and her brother Stanley Gonyea.   Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
